Precision Series pans are hand crafted on custom constructed barrels. The drum sizes are
tailored to the instrument being made, and varies from about 24 inches up to 26 inches.
Tenor/Lead Pans

Our Tenors use the traditional 4ths&5ths layout developed by Tony Williams. These instruments
have a brilliance and resonance that allows them to cut cleanly through the ensemble when required.
They are designed so that each note is an independant ellipse - there are no shared groove lines, and
there is ample space between adjacent notes. This eliminates the commonly encountered problem of cross
talk when each note is struck.
Additionally, the steel on each each note is individually thinned to an optimum thickness for that note,
resulting in a pan that has a uniform tone and response across the range of the instrument.
